SA Library Week was initiated in 2001 by Library and Information Association of South Africa (LIASA) to be a commemorative period recognized by government when all types of libraries across the country use it as an opportunity to market their services in an effort to contribute to the understanding of the important role that libraries play in a democratic society, advancing literacy, making the basic human right of freedom of access to information a reality, and to promote tolerance and respect among all South Africans. PaulDave FOUNDATION DONATES 30 PAIRS OF SHOES TO PHAGAMENG LEARNERS Founder of PaulDave Foundation Karabo Mokgosi (in a denim tee/red dress), along with the staff and Principal of Dagbreek Primary School. The 26 year old Founder of PaulDave Foundation, Karabo Mokgosi has donated at least 30 pairs of school shoes to Dagbreek Primary School learners in Phagameng, Modimolle. Mokgosi said that this was something they had initiated few years back but due to unfortunate circumstances they kind of stopped. "We just wanted to get back into our giving spirit especially with the knowledge of how things have changed. Covid-19 has made a huge impact in people’s lives, some parents lost jobs, others their salaries got cut so we just wanted to help out with the little we could,"she said.
