TITLE: THE DEVIL DOESN'T HAVE POWER BUT TRICKS

Pastor Hunadi Lebudi

The devil deceives us not because he has power but because he uses tricks and strategy. When dealing with the devil, you need the word of God and his wisdom. Remember when he tempted Jesus in the book of Matthew.

The scripture says "he tested Jesus even though he knew that Jesus has power and authority. But still he tried his tricks." Matthew 4:8-9 says, "again, the devil taken him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them. And saith unto him, all these things will I give thee, if though will fall down and worship me."

That was not power but tricks. He was trying to trick and confuse Jesus. He was aware that everything belonged to Christ. How can you offer someone  something that they already possess?

The devil defeat us because he first brings fear, confusion, strategy and then his tricks. When dealing with the devil you must always be full of the word of God and his wisdom. God has created us to dominate. Genesis 1:26 says, "And God said, let us make man in our own image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."

Our primary purpose as human beings is to dominate.

When you are led by the spirit of God, the devil will never defeat you. Allow God's spirit to dwell upon you and you will see the devil's tricks from afar. Jesus defeated the devil through knowing the word in the scriptures. You need the word of God and faith when dealing with the devil.

Remember in the book of Matthew when those man were casting out demons ,the demons responded to them and said, "Paul we know, Peter we know but who are you?"

The devil do know us and the power we contain through Christ but he wants to test if we really know our identity and if you believe in who we say we are. Let us claim back our power and authority that God has given unto us.

Let us take our positions and make our voices be heard as the children of God because we are the chosen one of God. Let us make impact. Let us try to exercise that power that is within us through Christ. We were created to rule and to dominate. Power belong to us and was given to us. May we realise that today and know who we really are.

Stay blessed
