Proverbs 26:13-14 
13* Always correct children when they need it. If you spank them, it will not kill them.
14* In fact, you might save their lives.

Being corrected is beneficial because human beings are bound to make mistakes as the body is made of flesh and flesh carries sin. Allow God to correct you. The bible says, "God correct those He loves." Corrections will make you wise because they teach you to do what is right. After learning you will feel good inside and out.  Your language will also change for the better.

23* Truth, Wisdom, Learning, and Understanding are worth paying money for.

For us to live a fulfilled life, we must obtain truth, wisdom, and understanding from the word of God. For us to have those, we must study the word, mediate upon it and obey it. Because the bible is God's inspired revelation of Himself, it contains the mind of God. It is His way of communicating with us. It brings teaching, rebuke, corrections and solutions.

24*The father of good person is very happy. A wise chlid brings him joy.

When we obey God by keeping his commands, He is pleased. For us to make Him smile, we ought to fulfil His purpose and Will about our lives. God is happy when we dwell and rest upon His word.
